Monsalve became famous due to her roles as the lead singer of the group of Venezuelan girls Chikas as well as the British-based pop group Latin Fiesta, and the Venezuelan Tartara. Her television show Alo RCTV, which aired in Caracas each morning for one year, was also an enormous success. After moving to the United States from Venezuela in 2002, she was involved in several stage plays and television productions. Within a few months she was appointed Hispanic Spokesperson at the furniture manufacturer Rooms to Go. The Sports Anchor was hired for Telemundo's local affiliate in Orlando starting at 6:45 pm in 2005. Monsalve began her career with ESPN the following year as the Sports Anchor for ESPN Deportes, broadcasting to Sports Center Hispanic audiences across North America and through ESPN 2 Central and South America. She announced her departure from ESPN on November 28th, 2014. Then she announced she was going to join Univision Deportes (now rebranded as TUDN).
